Top 5 Video Games to Buy this Holiday Season

By  |

Holidays are upon us and so are the hoard of new games but new games are huge and take weeks and even months to end. So which one you should buy first and start building up your online presence. Here are the top 5 picks of this season.

5. Fallout 4 (Platform: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows)

Fallout 4

Fallout 4 is the most hyped game of them all and it is the 4th game in the franchise, It takes you to a post-apocalyptic world is nothing short of a blockbuster. Like Fallout 3 and FallOut: Las Vegas the gameplay allows you to explore vast detailed locations.

IGN review’s the game by stating “After more than 55 hours played I may have seen an ending, yet I feel like I’ve only begun to explore its extraordinary world; from the look of it, I’ll easily be able to spend another 100 happy hours here and still see new and exciting things.” No platform captures the open gameplay world concept better than this game!. Beware of the RAD!

4. Need for Speed by Electronic Arts (Platform: PS4)

Need for Speed

Need For Speed is a dead francshice to me, EA is now dragging a once very popular or if I say it was the game which defined car racing I won’t be wrong. Made by Ghost Games and published by Electronic Arts, It is coming for holiday season 2015 and I am a bit excited for it because some how the gamer within me can’t rest without even trying it for once.

It will be released in early November 2015, The game has been lauded for its’s remarkable visuals & life-like sound effects but has was criticized for its short single player mode & unsatisfying online multiplayer experience. The game has all the features of the past series such as Hot Pursuit & Underground & goes a step further with improved AI for cops but the omission of “Drag Racing ” mode has taken the fans by a surprise.Overall it provides enough thrilling, engaging experience for you to enjoy with your friends online or on split-screen multiplayer. Yes, It may be the only game on next gen with split screen. Hope they are not running the same game dynamics as 2004.

3. Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege (Platform:PC & PS4)

Rainbow Six Seige

Rainbow Six Siege will be the latest installment of the critically acclaimed tactical & first person shooter series ” Rainbow Six”. Ubisoft has focused the game around the multiplayer mode and single player missions will help you acclimatize with the new characters.

Rainbow Six Seige will be released on December 1st, 2015.

2 Star Wars Battlefront (Platform: Windows, XBox One, PS4)

Star Wars Battlefront

It is the most awaited game among Star Wars fanatics. Star Wars Battlefront has benefited from all the promotion and hype surrounding the upcoming movie Star Wars: The Force Awakens and they cashed in really well, Time cannot be right to release the game. Stars Battlefront is cast as a reboot & not a sequel to the past titles. This game will be released in mid-November across all platforms.

1. Assassin’s Creed Syndicate (Platform: Windows, XBox One, PS4)

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate

I must say it is been a lot of Assasins Creed I have played already and this is the only game i’m least excited about and it is most exciting game to learn about our history, very interactive history class as my GF explains the game. The latest release takes you to 1868 London during the Industrial Revolution. As ever the Assain’s Creed provides freedom over a large game universe for your character. The game is a little different from its predecessors as it takes a dual character approach with two siblings as the main protagonists. You can freely switch between the two characters & will have a different set of side missions for both.

I know, Rise of the Tomb Raider and Halo 5 should be included in the list but it will become Top 10. I will do a Top 10 in some days so stay tuned.
