Trailer: Diablo 4 Unveiled at BlizzCon
Blizzard revealed Diablo 4 during its great BlizzCon 2019 event this week, a game that Diablo fans have been waiting for a long time. The game will be the next installation in the series where players gash and cast their way through opponents on an endless hunt for the best loot achievable. This announcement was led by tons of rumors and news that pointed towards this specific reveal getting its way within BlizzCon’s schedule.
A summary of the trailer provided fascinating insights into the new upcoming game and where it fits into the Diablo timeline. It takes place years after the events of Diablo 3, according to the preview.
“Diablo IV takes place many years after the events of Diablo III after millions have been slaughtered by the actions of the High Heavens and Burning Hells alike. In the vacuum of power, a legendary name resurfaces.”
Though it’s a pleasant announcement for Diablo fans who attended last year’s BlizzCon event come and go without a mainline Diablo announcement, Diablo 4 arriving during this event was not a huge surprise. It was assumed after the disaster from last year with Diablo Immortal’s announcement that Blizzard would come back with something it’s Diablo community was more involved in during BlizzCon 2019. Those rumors were fueled by many leaks leading up to the announcement, some of which came from industry insiders and others from pictures that were probably taken right from an artbook for the game.
