Twitch Streamer Ninja

Twitch superstar streamer, Tyler “Ninja” Blevins announced on Twitter that he is the first streamer to reach 10 million followers on the platform.

This isn’t the first time that Ninja broke records on Twitch as he and Drake were able to pull in 628 thousand viewers on a Fortnite stream last March. He then broke his record a month later with another stream of Fortnite.

First streamer on twitch to ever hit 10 million followers! This milestone is seriously insane. I have been streaming for a very very long time… and I cannot express how grateful I am to be in the position I am in.

GameIndustry reported that Ninja’s data streaming data was tracked using the Socialblade tool that previously recorded his total followers on Twitch at 555,000 on Sept. 26, 2017, which is the same day Epic Games launched Fortnite’s Battle Royale mode. As Fortnite became increasingly popular, so did Ninja as his followers increased dramatically parallel to the game’s success.

A few months ago, Ninja said during an interview with CNBC after reports alleged that the streamer is making more than half a million a month from his streaming career. In the interview, he explained:

“The combination of all those things is really where the collected revenues are coming from. The deal that Amazon Prime and Twitch Prime have together is incredible. Twitch Prime allows people to claim loot and collect loot with specific games, and they recently did a deal with Fortnite, which is the hottest game right now, and that is actually one of the main reasons of the influx on subscribers to my stream.”

Fortnite is currently available as a free-to-play game on the PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and iOS devices.
