Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End Complete Journal Entries Guide
There is a total of 25 Journal Entries in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and below you will find the locations of them all. Journal Entries are visible objects Nathan Drake can spot and take notes on during the game.
You can trace how many Journal Entries you’ve found by checking the Statistics page in the pause menu. Not all Journal Entries are collectibles. Any Journal Entry Nathan Drake makes on his own as part of the narrative does not count as a collectible.
There are two Journal Entries in Chapter 8: The Grave of Henry Avery.
The first is to the left of the graveyard entrance over a short wall. Nathan can make a Journal Entry on the dug up grave.
After solving the light puzzle, talk to Sam before interacting with the completed puzzle. You’ll get the Journal Entry while talking with Sam.
There are two Journal Entries in Chapter 9: Those Who Prove Worthy.
The first is at the very beginning of the chapter in front of the statues. Nathan draws the skeleton in the cage.
The next one is the door lever after completing the bucket puzzle.
Chapter 10: The Twelve Towers has four Journal Entries. All of them involve the towers.
The first is in the first tower by the muddy hill. Nathan draws the crest on the floor.
You’ll find Adam Baldridge’s crest in the second tower. You’ve gotta blow open the door with the Shoreline equipment to get to it.
On the path up to the third tower, you can draw the little signal tower. Climb up to it’s base to draw it.
The final journal entry is in the last tower by the draw bridge.
There are six Journal Entries in Chapter 12: At Sea.
From the rocky area of the ocean, drive the boat to the big island. There’s a small beach that faces the rocky part of the ocean. To the left of the cave on the beach is a cross that Nathan jots down in his journal.
There’s an old shipwreck on the small strip of beach to littered with crates and barrels not too far from the big island. Sam will point out the ship. Nathan can draw it once he gets out of the boat and onto the beach.
On the small island, Nathan will make a sketch of the skeleton hanging on a post. The skeleton is close to the shorter beach facing the ocean, not the other island.
After sliding down the big mud hill, climb the ledge next to the hill and by the weird, short pillars, and drop down to the lowest ledge. Look at the statues and Nathan will be able to take a note.
In the cistern planning room, Nathan will draw the miniature neighborhood.
Once the large Avery statue appears on the small island, Nathan can draw it when he walks in front of it.
Chapter 13: Marooned has two Journal Entries.
While Nathan is alone at the beginning, he’ll climb to a cave behind the waterfall. On the right side of the cave is a skeleton and a message Nathan can jot down.
After climbing out of the river in the cave, walk along the mossy path and you’ll see a skeleton in rags on the left. Look up, and you’ll see a hanging skeleton. Nathan can draw the hanging one.
There are four Journal Entries in Chapter 14: Join Me in Paradise.
In the barn across from the blacksmith building, Nathan can examine and draw the horse bones.
Then, toward the back left of the market is a plaque with a pirate rule.
On the other side of the market by the stocks is an Avery statue. Nathan can draw the graffiti on the back.
In an option conversation by the Avery statue, Nathan will offer to draw Sam in the stocks.
There’s only one Journal Entry in Chapter 15: The Thieves of Libertalia.
Before talking to Sam once he kneels down in the center of the room, walk toward the back of the room to find Avery’s statue head broken on the ground.
Chapter 17: For Better or Worse has two Journal Entries.
At the second elevator, Nathan can observe the broken water wheel.
After escaping death at the waterfall and the talk with Elena, go to where she climbed up from the river. Here, Nathan can draw the bridge.
The last two Journal Entries in Uncharted 4 are in Chapter 18: New Devon.
In Baldridge’s flooded house, Nathan can sketch the vase by a window in the mossy room after the first bedroom. This is the house Nathan and Elena swim into after the other collapsed.
Look at the dining table in Tew’s house and Nathan can sketch it.
