WARCRAFT 1 And 2 Got Digital Release
Warcraft 1 and 2 finally got a digital release over on gog! After the release of Diablo, the two games in the storied Warcraft franchise were also announced to be coming to the platform in 2019. I didn’t expect they will release both games so soon, Both games are available on gog as either a bundle ($14.99) or separate purchases ($5.99 for 1 and $9.99 for 2), which is not bad at all.
Just like Diablo, Warcraft 2 will include 2 different versions of the game. The original game updated to work on modern Windows PC and a new enhanced graphics mode. The classic model maintains all functionality of the original release including Battle.net support for online play. The new refreshed graphics mode version does not come with any of the original online functionality but does support an updated LAN mode for local play, which is quite awesome because I have spent countless playing Warcraft 1 on LAN with my mates back in the day, this is going to be so cool reliving the memories only if I find the old mates again with the time out from their busy lives and love for Warcraft, once again.
Warcraft 1 is only the original release running in an instance of DOSBox so don’t expect something new from the release.
