Xbox Game Pass Core: All 36 Games Revealed For Tomorrow’s Launch
Xbox Live Gold is undergoing some significant changes, with the imminent introduction of a more budget-friendly alternative called Xbox Game Pass Core, set to debut on September 14 for both Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. This new offering, priced at $10 per month, will feature a smaller game library compared to the regular and Ultimate versions of Xbox Game Pass but with the promise of periodic updates, up to three times a year. The curated list of games for Xbox Game Pass Core has been finalized in anticipation of its launch. Prospective subscribers can look forward to a collection of compelling single-player titles, popular multiplayer experiences, and influential indie games.
It’s important to note that Xbox Game Pass Core won’t include day-one releases of games. Access to such titles will require a subscription to the higher-tier versions of the service.

On the AAA front, Xbox Game Pass Core boasts Bethesda’s acclaimed Doom Eternal and Dishonored series, offering a dynamic blend of relentless action and challenging stealth gameplay. Microsoft’s first-party titles add further value, with a diverse array of Xbox exclusives. Forza Horizon 4 provides thrilling racing through the picturesque British countryside, Gears 5 delivers cover-based shooting with stunning visuals, Hellblade: Senua’s Saga immerses players in a haunting action experience, and Psychonauts 2 exemplifies Double Fine’s signature magic of inventive level design and endearing characters.
The third-party game selection includes some of the biggest hits from recent years. Powerwash Simulator offers a relaxing and meditative experience as you clean homes and vehicles, Dead Cells delivers addictive “just one more run” fun, and Vampire Survivors turns you into a whirlwind of fireballs, whips, and cosmic destruction as you battle hordes of monsters. Microsoft acknowledges that the game library may evolve over time and vary by region, but for now, the launch lineup boasts an impressive 36 games.
Beyond the games themselves, Xbox Game Pass Core subscribers gain access to online console multiplayer, exclusive deals, discounts of up to 50% off select titles, and the opportunity to participate in Free Play Days for specific games. For existing Game Pass subscribers, September promises exciting releases like Starfield, with Lies of P scheduled for availability on September 19, and more Game Pass announcements set to unfold at the Tokyo Games Show on September 21.
